VRQ Level 2 Certificate in Mental Health

Answer to Question 1

Somebody I used to work with was accused of giving preferential treatment to some members of a group they ran and discriminating against some other members

Answer to Question 2

The person seemed very shocked at the accusation, but looking back on their actions I can see why people would think that they were not acting in a professional way. I hope I have tried to learn from it myself, so I do not find myself making the same mistakes that they made

Answer to Question 3

I will always try my best to try to treat all people I work with as equals, but it is hard to do that sometimes:

Fictional service user 1
Have known them for years
Is always very polite to you
Sent you a nice birthday card
Is very understanding of others
Always clean, tidy and on time
Wants to go to London

Fictional service user 2
Only known a few weeks
Can sometimes be very rude
Did not say happy birthday
Does not understand others
Arrives scruffy and late
Wants to go to Brighton

If they were completely honest, how many people would want to help service user 1 get their way, even at the expense of the feelings of service user 2?
