STR / Support Time Recovery Training course
VRQ Level 2 Certificate in Mental Health
Answer to Question 1
These are the aims for one of the Social Groups that I am a facilitator for.
To give people a chance to socialise.
(Our meetings are informal, you do not need to be referred, just feel free to turn up and join in)
To help prevent isolation.
(We have many fun days out and always have things happening for our members to look forward to)
To give people a chance to talk to others that have "been there".
(All our members and facilitators are service users, so we do understand what people going through)
To encourage members to meet up on bank holidays.
(Most services are not open on bank holidays, so we think its an important time to be there for people)
To help build each others confidence.
(We all help each other to be more confident in life)
