Robot Wars / Battlebots extreme combat designs, including disk based weapon ones like Hypnodisc and house robot style ones with claws and powerful axes. Next I might do a Chaos style robot with a great flipper. All created using Maxon Cinema 4d.

For those of you who do not know Robot Wars is a television series originally shown on BBC 2 and then moved to Channel 5. Basically people make home made radio control robots and battle to destruction in arenas up against each other and some pretty extreme house robots. The arenas have weapons of their own such as saws and cutting disks.

My design for a new radio control Robot Wars entry or maybe even a new house robot to patrol the arena!!! Great design I think, but would not be cheap to build 8o( The claws are not designed to be powerful, just enough to hold an opponent while the Axe smashes it!!! Not as much style as Razer, but not bad.

My design for a robot to fight even Hypnodisk!!! This one would be able to work either way up and the disk weapon can attack targets both in front AND behind! Hypnodisc has the problem that if it is flipped it is likely to hit the disk as it goes which could cause damage to itself. This robots disk weapon would only ever hit the arena floor if it was flipped almost perfectly forward.

If you are interested in building either of these designs, then feel free. All I ask is that I get a bit of the credit and some photo's of the final robot to put on this page. Due to computer problems all I have of the designs is the pictures, not the actual plans any more.

This one was drawn by me, but the ideas are by {R} who posts in the uk.media.tv.robot-wars news group. Maybe this will get built one day and make it onto the program and into the arena, its name is 'The Dome of Doom'
