Roller Coaster by Dean Thorpe

Just like life, full of ups and downs
slowly climbing up, quickly flying down
finally pulling up, just before the ground
going so fast, spinning round and round
Round one loop, then round another
at the front, kids with poor mother
they all scream, feeling happy and free
She is sitting there, thinking why me!

This is a little poems I wrote about roller coasters. Its not actually about me on a roller coaster, just something I have seen many times at theme parks such as Disneyland Paris, Thorpe Park, Chessington and my favourite: Alton Towers. I am mad about roller coasters and have been for as long as I can remember. The first 'proper' roller coaster I can remember going on was "The Whirlwind" at Clacton when I was about 9 years old, it was quite small, but had 2 loops and was a lot of fun. I have been to almost every theme park in the UK and one day I hope to go to the US and try some of the ones over there. The fastest roller coaster in the world is currently Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure and that does 128MPH! 4 of the top 10 fastest roller coasters are in Six Flags parks, but then again there are loads of Six Flags parks, so they must have quite a budget for roller coasters! So I do dream about all those Six Flags Roller Coasters. Maybe if I ever win the lottery I will try to visit every Six Flags Theme Park in the world. In the UK I love Alton Towers best, probably followed by both Chessington and Thorpe Park, Dreamland in Margate used to be great, but these days is virtually gone. I have been to Dineyland Paris three times now and I love the experience, just a shame there are not many really big rides, I do quite like Space Mountain though. Maybe I will get to the US Disneyland and Disneyworld one day to see what they are like.
