Computers
Featured in the Rother Wellbeing Poetry and Writing Magazine.

Having computers, can be a pain
all those problems, hurt my brain
not enough ram, not enough speed
someone tell me, just what I need
todays machines, full of power
give it a while, needs new tower
add new parts, add new bits
til its full up, and nothing fits
sometimes I feel, it runs my life
and if you doubt, just ask my wife!

The inside of one of my old computers
The inside of one of my old computers

This bit of poetry is about computers and how having computers can take over your life. Its my 20th anniversary this year, that not how many years I have been married, its how long its been since I got my first computer! Computers have played a big part in my life since that very first computer, which was an Acorn Electron. If you like this then please read the First Love poem as that is also about computing and my love of computers. For a lot of people computers become an obsession and they spend all their money making their computer just about the fastest and flashiest looking ones in town, I am not quite that bad (honest). Most of my other poems are not about computers, but please give them a read. If you have any comments about this poem, maybe you love it, maybe you hate it, please feel free to send me your comments.
