Most photography is all about freezing a moment in time, it could be a wedding, a day out with friends, a holiday, a birthday party or so many other things. Every second of your life only happens once, no two days are exactly the same and photography is a great way of freezing that moment so you can look back on it for years to come.
This part of my site is a place for tutorials, examples, hints, tips and tricks to help you get the most out of your photography and assist you to freeze those great moments for all time.
Do I know anything about photography? I hope so! Its a real obsession of mine and I am always out taking photos, I do have a little web site with about 7,500 of my personal favourites that I have taken, but I still have about 15,000 I have still not got round to sorting! My work has been featured in a number of magazines and I have won many competitions both on the internet and in the "real world" too. I do not class myself as an true expert or a professional, just a really obsessed amateur who loves photography. The advice I give on here is just things I think will help people, you may know better ways and if you do please tell me as I am always trying to learn more! I have also taken part in exhibitions and have sold my work to raise money for charities, next year I have my first solo exhibition already booked.
These tips are aimed at amateurs and beginners that want to learn the basics and improve their photography, but parts will be useful to more experienced photographers too.
