Photographs of the Hastings Half Marathon runners and parts of the course. Most people say Queensway is the worst part, its not that steep, but its long, all up hill and feels like you are not getting anywhere! Year four of photographing the Hastings Half Marathon and its always one of my favourites to do.

	Runners that had just reached the top of the first hill, its far from the worst hill on the course, but it is right at the start and makes you tired straight away.
	A lot more runners at the top of the first hill, I wonder how many of them made it to the finish line? Proper training is very important for a this half marathon.
	More runners, including some from the Macmillan Cancer Support, I am not sure I would want to go that far in my wheelchair! Maybe one day I will try it as its the only way I could do it.
	A team of people from Hastings Scouts walking the 13.1 miles with a tent on wheels! Maybe it was so they could take a break from the marathon when they get tired 8o)
	Eric Hardwick MBE, main organiser of the Hastings Half and all round good guy! Every year Eric and many others put so much work into making the Hastings Half Marathon a success.
	The start line on the seafront at St Leonards. Taken a couple of hours before the race, when it starts it is jam packed with thousands of marathon runners waiting to begin.
	Runners coming along the seafront at St Leonards near the end of the race, well under a mile to go to the finish line, but I bet it feels a lot longer to most.
	A marathon runner dressed up as Piglet and pushing a pushchair with Winnie the Pooh and Tigger in it. Nice costume for a cold day, but not sure about a hot sunny day.
	This runner was fast! I wish I could run as fast as him, I think he must have got round the course nearly as fast as I could drive round it in Hastings traffic!
	A scottish costumed marathon runner dressed in a kilt and wearing a Scottish Balmoral hat, I just hope it was not bagpipes he was listening to on his headphones!
	Somebody running for the NSPCC, a really great charity, my wife normally runs for them, but took a well earned break this year, but did run for them in 2005 and 2006.
	More runners on St Leonards seafront approaching the last turn before the final sprint to the Hastings Half Marathon finish line, a well earned rest and a drink!
