Pictures of one of the hardest half marathons in the world! 13.1 miles (about 21 kilometers) and the first half is mostly up some pretty steep hills around Hastings!

	More marathon runners approaching the 2005 finish line on Hastings seafront. The clouds in the background were starting to look bad, but luckily the rain held off.
	For the marathon race this runner was wearing a pink top and also had a matching pink drink inside her bottle, thats what you call a colour co-ordinated marathon runner.

	The calm before the storm. Look nice there, hard to believe that a couple of hours later thousands of runners were making their way along there from the start.
	How did I manage to photograph myself from behind? Only kidding, but Sumo suits don't seem like the most practical thing to run a 13 mile half marathon in!
	Some more of the runners, including Yolanda on their way up the first of the Hastings Halfs many steep hills, its really is a nightmare course and can be very hard.
	Runners heading up the first hill of the course, they say its about the same as running 17 miles on the flat and great training for the 26 mile London Marathon.
	The 2005 race leaders on the ridge, they almost beat me to the ridge and I drove! They do the whole course in about an hour, when the traffic is bad it can take longer than that in the car!
	More marathon runners going along the Ridge passing Helenswood School and the Conquest Hospital, this is about half way around the course and near the start of the downhill bit.
	A runner in a Supergirl outfit, it was seeing her that persuaded Yolanda to buy a Supergirl costume, she has yet to wear it for the Hastings Half Marathon, but did wear it to Brighton Gay Pride!
	Yolanda making her way along the Ridge, I spotted her from my regular waiting point on the roundabout outside the Conquest Hospital, its one of those rare times you can actually find a parking space there!
	A bloke in a very bright red wig, running for the Parkinsons Disease Society, who are leading charity dedicated to supporting all people with Parkinsons and their families.
