Photos include everything from top runners to the people doing it purely for fun, there is also a list of the top runners. This was the first year we had been to the Hastings Half Marathon and it was there that I suggested to Yolanda (my wife) that she should run it and the next year she did! Its a long and hard race up and down some very steep hills.

Photo of one of the Hastings Half Marathon runners dressed up as Sooty. I love seeing people running in costumes, they probably will not set any records, but there is more to life than that! |

One of the top marathon runners from Kenya, these ones are so fast that they can get round the 13 mile course in about a hour, I bet the UK weather is a bit of a problem for them. |

Somebody warming up with plenty of stretching exercises. The Hastings Half Marathon does requires a lot of training if you want to cope with the many hills. |

One of the runners was dressed up as Rupert the Bear, most of the people running the marathon in costumes do it for charities to help raise much needed funds. |

Somebody having a practise run to warm up before the running the Hastings Half Marathon, its a very steep course with some nasty hills, so warming up is a very good idea. |

Another one of the many marathon runners on Hastings seafront with the pier in the background, plus one of the many Police Cadets that were around helping out. This photograph was used on the Sound Therapy Web site. |

One of the top runners racing along the seafront on the final part of the 2004 half marathon course with Hastings pier behind them, not far to go to the finish. |

I think that this was the Mayoress of Hastings? I do know that I would not want to try to run 13 miles with that thing round my neck! Some very heavy bling!!! 8o) |

Some more of our local VIPs lurking around at the start of the marathon, down on Hastings seafront watching the preparations just before the marathon started. |

I think that this person thought the Hastings Half Marathon would be too easy for him, as he did not start running until a good few minutes after all the others had left! |

A brave kid doing the fun run with Cerebral palsy, its people like that show that you should never give up and should always go out there and try to do things. |

A knackered looking girl in the mini fun run along the seafront. The mini run starts near the pier and finishes at the same place as the actual half marathon. |
