Lemurland at Drusillas Park Zoo photos by Dean Thorpe.
These are some photos I took a few days after the opening of the new Lemurland attraction at Drusillas Park Zoo, near Eastbourne in East Sussex.

Drusillas Park Zoo is a really great zoo, mostly specialising in small animals like Lemurs, Marmosets, Capuchins, Bats, Farm Animals and stuff like that (No Lions, Tigers and Bears oh my!). They add new things all the time and Lemurland is probably the best bit they have ever added. I love Ring Tailed Lemurs (Lemur catta) and to get the chance to get really close to them with no annoying glass to mess up photos is really great. You are not allowed to touch them as they say there is a very slight chance they may bite, but when I sat on the floor to take some photos they were coming up pretty close and seemed really friendly. They are just so cute! Congratulations to everybody at Drusillas Park Zoo on such a great new part of the park.

Lemurland at Drusillas: I want a hug! This is actually how Ring Tailed Lemurs sunbath! |
Lemurland at Drusillas: This new attraction lets you get very close to the beautiful Lemurs and so you can get some very close photos! |
Lemurland at Drusillas: Another Ring-Tailed Lemur doing a bit of sunbathing in a rare bit of UK sunshine. |
Lemurland at Drusillas: Not quite Madagascar, but its home and they seem very happy (not that I speak Lemurese!) and always look well cared for. |
Lemurland at Drusillas: Snack time, this picture was actually taken from outside the enclosure looking throught the big glass panels, so you can still have a good look even if you don't like the idea of going in with them. |
Lemurland at Drusillas: My Daughter Joanne having a close encounter of the Lemur kind. |
Lemurland at Drusillas: Lemur on the rocks, sounds like a strange cocktail. |
Lemurland at Drusillas: A small group of chilled out looking Lemurs. |
Lemurland at Drusillas: There are loads of ropes and platforms for them to play on or even just sit and pose for the camera. |
Lemurland at Drusillas: Move out the way, I want to be in the picture too. |
If you have not been to Drusillas Park Zoo for a while and want a good reason to go back then this is it, highly recommended.
