These are some of my favourite photos that I have taken of the cute Common Marmosets that they have at Drusillas Zoo Park at Alfriston, near Eastbourne in East Sussex. Common Marmosets are easy to recognise because of the pure white hair they hair sticking out of the sides of their heads round their ears. The Common Marmosets at Drusillas Zoo Park are very cute animals and always seem very friendly and inquisitive.
Latin name: Callithrix jacchus

My favourite Common Marmoset photo is the forth one down on the left out of the first group of Marmoset photos. Why? One of my little claims to fame is that they printed that photo taken at Drusillas in their February 2008 issue of the Smithsonian Magazine! A big American magazine with a circulation of about 2 million!
I love it at Drusillas Zoo Park and go at least once a month, but anything up to three times in one week!!! Drusillas is based around smaller animals, like Common Marmosets, Meerkats, Lemurs, Servals etc. but because of that you can get really close to the animals. I hate it when you go to some big zoos to photograph the animals and mostly get shots of bars and cages, not the animals! My favourite big zoo to photograph so far is Colchester Zoo, but for photographing smaller animals it has to be Drusillas.
Constructive comments on these Common Marmoset pictures are always very welcome.
