I thought I would do this as a type of question and answer thing, if there is a question you would like to see added, please conact me.

What is Aspex Design?

Aspex Design has been running in some form or another since the early 90's, it started off as Aspex Software, then I decided I was more into doing creative things, so changed it to Aspex Design. The full version is:

In case you are wondering I can spell Aspects, but I wanted to be a little different!

How long has this site been running?

My original site Psyonicdreams was started in 1999 (I think!), but as it was hard for a lot of people to remember how to spell I changed the name to Aspex Design, which is at least a bit easier to remember.

How many people does Aspex Design employ?

Hondreds? Thousands? Nope, its just me. My wife sometimes helps me out by testing things etc. I do everything all the web design, poster design, event photography etc. myself.

How much profit does Aspex Design make a year?

Not even enough for a packet of crisps, in fact it always runs at a slight loss! I do get money from the adverts and occasional donations, but every penny of that goes into costs of hosting, equipment, software, promotional expenses, costs for attending events to photograph and all the other stuff that I have to pay out.

Why do it?

I do it as it keeps my mind busy and I enjoy being creative and sharing my creations with the world. At the moment I could not make enough to live on, so why not do it for free instead!

Are you mad?

Probably, yes!

Will you ever make money from it?

Probably not. I have a number of health problems, both physical and mental that limit how much I can do. I get good weeks when I do lots of work, but then I get bad weeks when I can't do anything and thats no way to run a business, so I have to do it this way.

Does anybody visit this site?

A bad day would be 800-900 visitors (I do mean actual visitors, not hits or page views), but a good day is anything from 1500 to 2000 visitors. Not bad for a little site like mine and I have lots more content planned, so that should bring in a lot more people 8o)

Where is Aspex Design based?

A few miles from Hastings in East Sussex on the south coast of the United Kingdom.
