One of the best attractions at the Disney Studios part of
Disneyland Paris is the Moteurs Action! Stunt Show
Spectacular, which is the French version of the Disneyworld
Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show. The show is a
mixture of stunts and tricks done in cars, on bikes and on
foot too. Its a great show with special effects and a few
surprises too! People from the audience get involved in a
couple of bits of it. The only negative thing about the show
is that is never changes, we have been going to Disneyland
Paris for about ten years now and its the same routines,
jokes, surprises and stunts every single time! As a
photographer it is quite useful as I can now get shots of
bits it would normally be extremely hard to get as I know
when the jumps etc. all happen!

The stunt show at Disneyland Studios starts off with tricks
on a motorcycle, the stuntman has great control of his
motorcycle and seems to be able to make the motorcycle do
anything he wants.
I wish I had balance as good as him! Disneyland Studios is
less popular than the main Disneyland Paris park, but its
worth visting Studios for this show alone.
Cars lined up ready for the start of the main show, the bad
guys drive the black cars and the hero drives the red car,
but there are more motorcycles involved in the story too.
Lights, Camera, Action! A screech of tyres and the stuntman
begins and the chase is on, will the hero get away? Its
Disneyland, so the good guys will always win!
Maybe the Disneyland drivers are too used to their
motorcycles! There is some great driving of cars on two
wheels, that must take a lot of practice, must be fun to
be a stuntman.
The heroes car in action, by the look of the front of it,
some of the Disneyland drivers don't always get it right!
Shame as they are quite nice looking cars.
According to the talk that goes with the show the cars are
actually all based on powerful motorcycle engines and the
chassis and outer shell is extremely light, to give great
performance.
Don't worry, this one was supposed to snap in two, like
something out of the classic Herbie films made by Disney.
This was part of one of the many special effects.
The hero, now riding a motorcycle dares the nasty villains to
chase him on their motorcycles. The motorcycles get used for
loads of jumps and chases and a big stunt with lots of fire.
Motorcycle burnout, I wonder how many tyres they must get
through at Disneyland! I had somebody comment on the spelling
of tyre, that is right for here in the UK, not tire as its
spelt in many other countries.
One of the most exciting parts of the stunt chase scenes are
the jumps, this is one of the bad guy motorcycles flying
through the air after the hero.
One of the motorcycle stunts involves a lot of fire, I know
this is a highly trained Disney stuntman, but it still
freaks me out seeing him covered in fire.
The Disneyland emergency crew rush in as soon as they say
cut to put out the blaze and to check on the safety of the
stuntman, must be great when people ask him what job he does!
This is a hard photo to get, the car is going really fast
and if you are not careful the jump is over before you can
get the shot.
This is where multiple visits to Disneyland Studios Paris
comes in very handy, because I knew when the stuntman would
be doing the jump I managed to get two photos of the stunt.
Another split second photo of the Disney stuntman driving
his car out through the upstairs of a building, flying
through the air and the down a ramp.
A white number 53 Volkswagen Beetle, Herbie! A celebrity in
the stunt show. I grew up watching the Herbie films and
loving all the stunts he could do.
A special version of the car used for one scene, not the
best position to drive a car from, but essential for the
Disney magic to work!
Heroes! The stuntman that drives the heroes car and the
stuntman that rides the heroes motorcycle pose for photos
with their amazing vehicles at the end of the show.
There is a big video wall and if you watch carefully you
might see yourself, the man in the flame shirt is me with my
wife and daughter on the big screen.
